ConradJones Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Backup Metadata enumeration failed for sharepoint site in DPM 2010 and DPM 2012 Tried lots of things. Restarting vss server (Forgotten all the stuff i have tried. I suspect --> SQL was originally installed on the web server it is now on a dedicated, and you have to use SQL aliases to point to the new server.
Eben Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 I got this too, have a M$ support call in for first thing tomorrow about our DPM 2012 SP1 Primary / secondary setup and issues like this. How are you backing up your servers, host or guest level?
ConradJones Posted May 16, 2013 Author Posted May 16, 2013 i'm backing them all up at guest level as I'm running vmware. dpm agents inside the vm, linux guests get the whole vm exported from vsphere using vcb and the the vcb backup gets backed up with dpm. how did you get on with M$
