Sam_Brown Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Morning Guys, Bit of a strange one. Logon scripts are failing to run randomly at the moment. Running them manually once the user has logged on works fine however they won't load at logon. Error is "Could Not Execute Following Script \\*****\logon.bat. No application is associated with with the specified file for this operation". Any ideas? Only changes we've made recently are raising functional domain level to 2008r2 and moving a few shares around but shares work fine when running script manually. It seems to be random for who gets mapped and who doesn't.
Davit2005 Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Are you running them though the Profile Tab of the users or GPO Logon Script?
Duke5A Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 It could be that they're logging on with cached credentials before the network link is ready (pulling DHCP, etc). You can try setting this in GPO: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System/Logon > Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon
