Students phishing from staff

This is almost amusing:

 

BBC News - Alaska phishing pupils take over classroom computers

 

1. Is this news?

2. Classroom hi-jinx, yet computers were seized? (Yeah, I know it's American)

3. Classroom control and suspect policies here: if staff have admin rights, is that necessary and if so, what on earth were they thinking?

Why on earth did teachers have admin passwords?

Each school will have differing needs and maybe it's the case that staff look after their own systems there, but still that's where the classroom control and common sense needs to come into play. If they were tricked into putting in their details like that, they certainly shouldn't have had those rights.
