RabbieBurns Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Isnt something I have used before and always maintained regular backups. However I think this is somehting I should be using, for those files that are modified in between backup windows. How much free disk space does it require?
psydii Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Do you mean shadow copies? They are "Copy on change". You can only have 64 snapshot, and the total space allowed is configurable. On our busy file server we could get back about 20% of the volume if we deleted the snapshots. Volume Shadow Copy Service Shadow Copies of Shared Folders
