Fps_Chappy Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Hi all, I have a problem with a projector in 'the heart of the school'. What it is, is the PC feeds into a splitter box which then sends out a mirrored image of the PC to each dv signal to 1 of the 2 projectors. The problem is one of the projectors is darker than the other. I have replaced both bulbs and colour wheels to no avail. I have also checked all settings match up with the other projector and they do. Nothing seems to help it, the only way i can describe it is as if someones put a dark tinted colour filter over the lense on what of the projectors which is now making the colours less faded and the image not as sharp. I hope someone can help Thanks Scott
VeryPC_Colin_F Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Hi Fps_Chappy What brand and model of projector is it? Thanks Col
Marci Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 ...and how many op-hours are on each... and when did they last have optics cleaned? First thing I'd be suspecting is dust buildup on internal mirrors for the dim projector.
papalemon Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Have you swap the two cables to see if there's any changes? ie, Projector A to the splitter port for projector B was using and projector B to the splitter port for projector A?
michaelyallop Posted May 9, 2013 Posted May 9, 2013 Is the splitter an amp or just a cable? If its VGA there can be some loss of signal, but usually this is only over long-ish distances, this would then present itself as a dim image.
