Cheap ereaders - get 'rm while they're cheap

The Nook Simple Touch is going for £29 inc delivery at the moment. Cursory research looks like they're fairly hackable and may even function as one of those electronic book things. I've ordered one out of curiosity (and 'cos I'm still sore about missing out on the HP tablet fire sale nearly 2 years ago now..).

I might get one of these. For under thirty groats you can't go wrong.

 

Against all sense I was an early adopter and bought a truly horrific reader based on Windows CE. It was, and still is, utter garbage, taking about 1 minute to warm up and be usable. It was close on to £200. The day I bought it is still subject to enruement.
