[sims] Alfiesoft Testbank and SIMS

I've been asked to look at trialling Alfiesoft Testbank. Their fiddly SIMS sync thingy requires "Data Change Tracking Management" to be turned on in SIMS. Anyone know what if any impact this may have on our normal SIMS use? Just being cautious, you know what SIMS is like...

I wouldn't have thought so...they are a major sims partner

We enabled this for Alfie, but there was a knock on issue that needed sorting and we had Capita dial into our SIMS server to sort it out. Nothing major though - we just ended up with lots of warnings in the event log on the server, but nothing that actually impacted the users.

I think that option used to come with a warning about extra server load, because it adds flagging to say info has changed.

a few people on supportnet tried it to see what would happen and didn't notice any difference but it should be kept off unless required.

In your case you need it, but just watch the server for any bottlenecks and performance issues, just in case.
