MManjra Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 i was wondering if any one has corel draw 12 installed at their school. i am having a small problems when pupils try to save their work it brings up a CARM (Corel Automated Recovery Manger) which always fails and causes the application to close and loosing all the work. i can manually diasable this utility by going into tools and option but every time a new user logs on, the stupid utility is enabled again by default.
indie Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Can I just ask, do you disable access to the C:\ drive for your pupils? Can an admin user save OK?
MManjra Posted November 24, 2005 Author Posted November 24, 2005 Yes this only happens to pupils and no pupils dont have access to c drive which is probably the cause of the problem. i can probably change some security permissions on the coreldraw folder to see what happens.i cant believe i didnt think of so simple like this before, probably cuz i was to adament in disabling the CARM utility in sm registry settings. i'll give this a go 1st thing tomorow mornin and see the outcome. still cant believe tht wasnt the 1st thing i tried.insome funny way i'll be GUTTED if this works. ARRRGHHH!!!
Ric_ Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Check the Corel website - on version 11 you had to change permissions on certin directories and registry keys. This may help you.
