tj2419 Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 (edited) Hi Guys, I have been looking at HAP for a long time and finally got some time to set it up. I downloaded the V9 Full version (Wednesday Version). And began setting it up. Now i was testing it on a windows 7 machine with IIS 7 linked the domain. I went through the whole setup no problems but then when completed and trying to login it will not let me. It says the username or password is incorrect on student, teacher or admin accounts. Is this because it is on a PC rather than one of our servers? Also how do i get back to the setup page as now each time i browse to the ..hap/setup.aspx it just takes me to the login page. I know i put a couple of questions in the title but i imagine i will have more as i set it up. Thanks Edited April 30, 2013 by tj2419 More info
tj2419 Posted April 30, 2013 Author Posted April 30, 2013 Also how you link remote apps into it? E.g. Word, Libra office, SIMS and the RMMC. WOuld love to get these working through it but have no idea where to start
tj2419 Posted May 1, 2013 Author Posted May 1, 2013 Right i have it running with users logging in ok but my next issues are: 1. When i try to create a new folder in the My Files section mapped to the users N drive it comes up with "SyntaxError: Syntax Error" 2. When i try to delete or edit an already mapped drive it come us with "An WCF Error has Occured" 3. When i drag a file into the browser to try upload it, it just attempts to open the file with internet explorer. 4. Teachers cannot see the bookings screen. I have set the icon up and made the changes to the web.config for the bookings but it still says unauthorised access. Any help on the above would be great thanks. It is just running in our office at the moment so no live users. Thanks

That's an odd one, you will need to do some http://www.edugeek.net/forums/home-access-plus/86059-hap-json-debugging.html to find out what the browser is sending to the server 2. Same as 1: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/home-access-plus/86059-hap-json-debugging.html 3. The only version of IE that supports drag and drop uploading is IE10+ 4. You will need to make sure that the resources are visible, and that the ~/bookingsystem/web.config is changed.
tj2419 Posted May 1, 2013 Author Posted May 1, 2013 Problem 1 GET ACTION {"Actions":0,"Contents":null,"DateAccessed":null,"DateCreated":null,"DateModified":null,"Extension":null,"Icon":null,"Location":null,"Name":null,"Permissions":null,"Size":null,"Type":null} POST ACTION There is nothing there for this one. I have noticed it still creates the folder but just displays that syntax error message. Problem 2 Is ok i just changed it in the hapconfig file after seeing another one of your posts. Problem 4 I changed the web.config with the names of my teaching groups and admins. And the shortcuts show up for all users. But when i have copied the shortcut from Management to resources the live tile on the resources one (i created) doesn't work. Thanks for getting back to me.
nickbro Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 You may need to edit the hapConfig.xml file directly and see what's different
tj2419 Posted May 1, 2013 Author Posted May 1, 2013 You may need to edit the hapConfig.xml file directly and see what's different How do you mean sorry?
nickbro Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Open ~/app_data/hapConfig.xml in notepad and look at the xml to see if there is something that doesn't look right
tj2419 Posted May 1, 2013 Author Posted May 1, 2013 The My Files issues are now fixed in v9.1.0501 Hi that seems to have fixed my folders issue. Thanks
tj2419 Posted May 1, 2013 Author Posted May 1, 2013 Still cannot access the bookings system as a teacher :S
Paul-K Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Hi tj2419, Have you edited the allow roles in the web.config file in the BookingSystem folder as thats what I had to do, change "" to what the OU's are on your network that you would like to have access to the booking system. Hope this helps
nickbro Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 This will be down to your hapConfig with the booking resources. If the teacher's can't see any resources, it will redirect to the unauthorised page. Can you paste the booking system part of the hapConfig.xml file please?
