Laptop Screen Replacement

Hi people,

 

Anyone know of a cheap supplier of LG Philips 15" lcd screens? One of our has been cracked.

 

Also do you know if lcd screens are interchangeable with other makes? - i.e. this is a LP150X06(A3) screen.

Screens generally aren't easily interchangeable but many models are the same but badged differently. eg you could have an asus but that could be a sony, hp, acer etc. That is just an example, not sure which machines are rebadged as which, but it is very common to get an identical machine form various 'makers' who basically distribute the machine with their own badge on. There are some with different makers/ cases etc that use a common screen but these are harder to trace.

 

As a rule, only go for a screen that you know for sure is the same model, anything over a couple of years old is not worth wasting time on.
