Sysprep windows 8 fails

Hi

 

 

Please can someone help sysprep is failing on windows 8. i have produced a build by updating windows removed metro apps that we dont want and insyalledd the needed programs. I have tried with and without unattend.xml. We have tried a physical and a virtual machine and it does tha same. The os is a clean install with school original windows 8 disks and programs onstalled are ok with windpws 7 sysprep.

Check log files in the sysprep folder setuperr should help. If you have mdt use the sysprep and capture task sequence.

Will have a look on monday for code but when i looked up the code on friday it said bad image and needed recreating whem o looked ir up thats why we used a virtual machine richard

I have just found this in the internet. Removing or Updating Windows 8 built-in Windows Store apps causes Sysprep to fail

 

If you remove, change or add metro apps to windows 8 before sysprep it stops it working.

is this only affecting metro apps as we have a sysprep image with custom applications install but none of them use metro.

We have managed to sysprep an image with programs installed but no alteration metro apps richard
