Simcfc73 Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 I know I know, its rubbish. I thought as it had a controller it would be lovely and fact but even the new WNDAP360 seem a bit slow unless I am missing something really obvious in the setup. I was just sat in a science lab with an access pioint on the floor above, I started 11 laptops and they all came up in a few minutes and looking at the signal strength anything from 50mb to over 100 so pretty good strength so I thought I would PDQDeploty acrobat 11. Lookign at the throughput it was awful, something like 50kb and took and age, one of them hit 2mb/sec but it still took an age. These were the WNDAP350 boxes controlled through a 5316 controller. i have tried them with security off and mac filtering on so see if the encryption is slowing it down but its not. Does anyone have any tweaks I can do. I have done some with the RF management but its supposed to allocate that automatically. Really annoyed as there is loads of complaints about netgear wireless and i don't have the budget to replace it.
cpjitservices Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Could be some form of interference between the floors ? Try one of the laptops on the same floor right next to the AP.
