Question regarding Smartboard pens/rubber

We have a smartboard in one of the rooms, and whenever the rubber is picked up, instead of actually rubbing away whatever has been drawn, it selects it instead.

 

FYI: We are using v10 of Smart Notebook. All the drivers are installed and are working correctly. The pens only work within Notebook.

Check the sensor in the pen tray is not blocked/dirty, does the lihgt next to the rubber light up when you pick it up like the pens?

Yes, the rubber placeholder lights up when the rubber is removed like the pens.
