Hi

We use Profiles for Tutors to set student targets at the start of the year, then these are reviewed during the year and targets are edited etc during various review periods.

The problem we seem to have is when new Tutors take over a group mid-year. The new Tutor appears to not be able to edit or even view the previous comments entered, but printed versions have the old comments on (probably due to having the same template).

Is there a way of easily deleting all old comments from a teacher who has left, or can the new tutor be allowed to view/edit the previous comments?

You should be able to hide the old comments by changing the report period dates to a period where the old teacher had gone but that could get messy. In review mode the new teacher will be able to see the other teachers comments and edit them(with the correct permissions)

Assessment manager might be more appropriate for this although it depends on how much text/how many seperate comments you're looking to use, you'd end up with 1 mark sheet per group/class

It seems quite difficult to find a solution that ticks all the boxes.

We tried assessment manager but it was decided comment banks were better due to the amount of target types there were.

I guess Profiles doesn't allow for too much manipulation. We wanted to create a session which is open all year long so constant editing/reviewing of targets could be made, but in doing this we can't do the 'Review' bit as once you go to review you can't go back to entering/editing comment by the teacher.
