[HAP][v9] Setup isn't modifying hapconfig.xml. No errors or permission issues.

Hi All,

First time setting up HAP+ as a seasoned DIY webmaster/developer. Server is 2012/IIS 8. Have worked my way around the usual problems.

Essentially the setup page is not modifying the hapconfig.xml file. The security permissions on the file are correct, I do not recieve any errors whilst editing the settings.

Should there be a big save button somewhere to commit the changes to file or does it simply write the changes on the fly?

Sorry if this is a re-post of a common problem but i have done my due diligence of searching the forums here and google with no luck.

Thanks

There should be a big Save button at the bottom of the page to commit it to the hapConfig.xml file. Some things are held in memory until the save is clicked.

No luck, tried in chrome and IE.

The only thing I have slightly non-standard is the path to the wwwroot folder? instead of C:\inetpub\wwwroot I have C:\inetpub\httpsroot and i've had to split http and https on the webserver as two separate sites. hap is running on the https binding only.

I've managed to get the config working now thanks, just removed that style definition once using chrome, clicked save. Now it's written the initial config file the button is now visible!

If you want any more info in case it's a bug or something then just let me know.

Thanks for the help! Looking forward to playing around!

I seem to be having the same issue with the Save button not showing. Can't seem to find the line to remove for the fix.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Change ~/Setup.aspx line 1769:

if (<%=HAP.Web.Configuration.hapConfig.Current.FirstRun ? "false" : "true" %> || ui.index > 1) {

Just had a go at changing that, doesn't seem to of worked unfortunately. Anything else I could try?

Thanks

Try this, they changed something in jQuery ui in 1.9

                            $('#maintabs').tabs({ activate: function (event, ui) {
                               if (<%=HAP.Web.Configuration.hapConfig.Current.FirstRun ? "false" : "true" %> || ui.newTab.index() > 1) {
                                   $("#<%=Save.ClientID%>").css("display", "");
                               }
                           }, disabled: [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6] });

You do need to go to the 3rd tab to get it to show the button

Hmm, looks like something in one of the links should be there but isn't, very odd. Do you mind pasting your Homepage section of your hapConfig.xml file?

That fixed it for me, thanks!
