replacing lesson planner for mobile app

Did any of you go this path already??? We spend 4k a year printing lesson planner and we thought that it could be a good idea to develop an app or use some commercial app....

We have developed our own app that incorporates planning. We are just testing it out at the moment though so don't know if we will go down that route fully yet!

I've been thinking along these lines myself. Something that would show homework, coursework deadlines, timetable, money on cashless system, messages from teachers, etc. All sorts of possibilities I feel.
