Lots of redirected printers in remote desktop (services)

I have RDS setup on 2008r2 for a few staff but in the devices and printers folder it lists lots of redirected printers. The laptop they work on is used in school so has all the school printers but these get listed as redirected and local printers when working remotely from home. In some cases the same printer is listed as a local printer and then as redirected (1), redirected (2) and so on up to redirected (5), this is the same for all other local printers.

 

Is it possible to block any school printers from being redirected but allow the staff to attach a home printer which would need to be redirected in the remote desktop.

The only way we do this is to force only the default printer to be redirected. Staff know this and know they have to set their default before they logon otherwise they cannot change it without coming out. We used to get hundreds of inkjet home printers installed on our terminal servers and now none because they all have school printers set as default (we use remoteapp internally)
