SimpleSi Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 (edited) On my home machine (XP) - Dropbox has stopped working and won't re-install (says install aborted after 50 %) I've googled but no solution offered is working Anyone else had this and what did you do to fix it? Simon PS Dropbox is my life both for sharing tech stuff between my school servers so this is a BIG issue for me Edited April 2, 2013 by SimpleSi
strawberry Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 I had this with s software restriction policy but I doubt that's relevant in this case!.
SimpleSi Posted April 3, 2013 Author Posted April 3, 2013 mm - just looked at Dropxbox site and they've released a new version 2 days ago I've downloaded 1.6.14 and it all works again So off to tell Mr Dropbox that he has a little bug somewhere in the new version Simon
mac_shinobi Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 What version is the latest release that does that? Tried re downloading to make sure it's not a corrupt download? Long shot I know
featured_spectre Posted April 3, 2013 Posted April 3, 2013 ^^ is actually good advice. DropBox downloads have been dodgy for me at the best of times!
SimpleSi Posted April 4, 2013 Author Posted April 4, 2013 I'll just wait and see what happens next time it decides to update itself All working OK so not going to fiddle Simon
Devontechie Posted April 4, 2013 Posted April 4, 2013 I've got version 2.0.2 running on work machine and home machine with no problem. Not 100% what the latest version is..
