Is it necessary to alter plans, even if it is "off curriculum" to satisfy inspectors? I'm fairly certain they actually encourage that sort of thing in appropriation.

Anyway, hope it goes well for you!

Its about staying at the school being Ofstedded supporting them for the next 2 days means I have to scupper plans at others :)

Just completed task 1 - did the run to the chip shop for sausage chips and gravy for everyone - I know my role :)

Actually, we'd got a new server in as old one was being dodgy - last week I set up the new server and VM convertered the d one onto a portable drive and guess what happened today - yep - old one died at 10am - dead as a dodo this time !

I restored the old server as a VM on the new server and I've awarded the Montgomery Scot award by the headteacher :)

Inspector is working from suite so set up new server for logmein just in case :)

Got Luke at Millgate to postpone the delivery of 22Ipads and 15 laptops that was coming!

Extra ink should be here tomorrow.

1 prob - 1 class machine not connecting to network (they say it just happened today but I don't believe in co-incidences!) - socket is un-labelled so no real way of fault finding without a lot of pulling out of wires so I'm just going to bring one of my Raspberry Pi wifi dongles in tomorrow and get in on the network that way

Just going to uppack and setup the new printer that I was going to do in the hols as it'll give me a colour printer bacjup in case my venerable HP2605 decides to die tomorrow!

I think we have ofsted imminent.

For me, a good teacher would have a 'backup' plan and ofsted are probably aware of this. Lessons shouldn't rely on IT even IT Classes. For example if the internet is down, then something else should be planned.

It's always a panic for staff. I just can't work out why...
