staningrimsby Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 Hi Guys, At school we have a Cisco ASA 5505 Firewall and we have paid for the licence to allow 25 concurrent VPN connections, I have a 2008 R2 App Server which I am setting up Webdav etc on to allow the ios devices to save to the network, I also have fingerprint installed to allow my printers to be air printers and thus be picked up by the ios devices. I am now at the position where I need to connect the ios devices via VPN to the ASA 5505, I have installed the Cisco Anyconnect software on the ipad and configured it but I receive an error message as follows; “The secure gateway has rejected the connection attempt. A new connection attempt to the same or another secure gateway is needed. Which requires re-authentication. The following message wax received from the secure gateway: No Licence” What have I missed, do I have to make some adjustments to the ASA etc ???
twin--turbo Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 have you activated the licence on the ASA? Managing Feature Licenses for Cisco ASA 5500 Version 8.3 [Cisco ASA 5500 Series Next Generation Firewalls] - Cisco Systems Rob
staningrimsby Posted March 24, 2013 Author Posted March 24, 2013 Already have the VPN licence for 25 users and just found out that I need an anyconnect mobile licence as well, will look into that when I get to school tomorrow.
twin--turbo Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 they are not the cheapest things to run, I wanted a 4port lan upgrade for our 5520, when I found out it was circa £2k I worked round the problem in hand. Rob
