MYK-IT Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Hi, Using DPM 2012 SP1 and attempting to restore some data from a Disk Based Recovery Point to its original location. The recovery job is failing, only restoring ~50% of the data; with the following error: Type: Disk recovery Status: Failed Description: The operation failed because of inadequate disk space. (ID 2035 Details: There is not enough space on the disk (0x80070070)) More information End time: 20/03/2013 11:07:51 Start time: 20/03/2013 11:05:47 Time elapsed: 00:02:04 Data transferred: 6,286.50 MB (6591873024 bytes) Source details: E:\ Target details: E:\ on @{servername} Cluster node - The total amount of Data to restore is ~12GB and there is ~240GB left on the HDD being restored back too. Any suggestions? as online searches only relate to issues with replica/restoration points or how to recover the DPM Server. And i give up with the lack of "more information" prompt / webpages for DPM2012 that either say "Page not found" or "this is a place holder"! My only suggestion at the moment, is that i think it 'may' be related to the length of the file/folder path (being too long!). If that is the case, why can't DPM just tell me that? or bring up an error when i attempted to backup the information in the first place?? Thanks
Tsonga Posted March 20, 2013 Posted March 20, 2013 Does it always fail on the same stuff? Or have you tried to make it recover other files of about the same size.
MYK-IT Posted March 20, 2013 Author Posted March 20, 2013 In the end I recovered all the (same) data to another server, and manually copied the files across.
