FN-GM Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Hi, I am just wondering what system you use to WOL your machines? Do you have some sort of script to pull mac addresses from DHCP or something? Thanks
glennda Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 Is on the the Features within Fog and used to use that.
Domino Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 A couple of methods, we have a script that adds the mac addresses (and other info) to the AD description. Also Lansweeper has a wol button on each machines details screen.
anthonyd Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 We've got an app which grabs the Mac addresses and AD groups from our Spiceworks database so they can be woken up on a per machine or AD group basis, and updates automatically if the machine changes.
laserblazer Posted March 19, 2013 Posted March 19, 2013 I use Advanced IP Scanner - Official Website - Free, fast and easy-to-use network scanner for Windows - Scan your network to get more information about all connected devices which also allows forced shutdown of machines.
