newpersn Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Hi all. Having problems with ProDesktop on Windows 7. When the user creates the work space. Flattens the work space. then try's to extrude the the program crashes. I have tryed these fixes >>> To de-activate advanced 3D graphics regsvr32 /sgranite_com.dll <<< (note space after regsvr32) A little problem arose with extrusion failure (and usually program shutdown) in version 8, the fix for this is: >>> C:\Program Files\PTC\ProDesktop#8.0\Program\ProD.exe#/regsvrer Still having no luck. Any other ideas?
Cache Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 I remember having this issue. 1. Make sure you have an administrative command prompt open when you run the above command. 2. Try running prodesktop by right clicking and run as administrator and complete the extrusion 3. Check the ISScript8 has been installed also (msi file is in the prodesktop setup folder if you need it) How did you install Prodesktop onto the machine? What has been the best fix for me was to deploy Prodesktop using the mst attached below through group policy. Since doing that it all seems to be working better then ever before. I did find the instructions somewhere on Edugeek, but can't remember where now.Prodesktop_regserver_fix.mst 1
john Posted March 18, 2013 Posted March 18, 2013 Straight after installing Pro D I open it up as an administrator, draw a square and then Extrude that square and hit OK on that and then close the program that fixes all the issues we have ever had with it No registry keys or messing just remember to extrude as an administrator. 1
