Need a suggestion on a WordPress Book.

Landed in my lap is the companies intranet site which needs managing / updating / looking after - it's all done on WordPress which is a package I have never used.

I've managed to reverse engineer quite a few aspects of it already but need a proper guide as now they are after plugins and other fancy stuff.

On checking amazon there are loads of books but it would be great if I could get a few suggestions of people who have already used a book as a guide.

Oh and from what I've seen and done with it already I have to say I find it nasty and all over the place.

Thanks.

I taught myself Wordpress by first of all following a couple of simple free Kindle books. It's quite simple unless you want to get into the complicated bits. I learned the most by setting up a site I didn't mind breaking and added Plug-ins for testing before adding the to live sites.

I find Wordpress quite intuitive in the most part, some of the plugins are a bit difficult to work out but always have a link the their website, which has instruction, contacts and forums.

Also try Udemy.com who have plenty of free courses.
