We've noticed recently (since Windows 7 is becoming more and more used here) that file downloads don't work in IE9 unless they're from a standard link.

I.e if the link is scripted or the download is iniated from a button you will get the Open,Save,Save As dialogue box and even get to specifiy the path name, but nothing opens or is saved to the path specified. Clicking a 'pure' (i.e type of link) works fine, but ones initiated by scripts etc don't work.

Its becoming a nuisance here, has anyone else noticed this? Its only affecting IE9/Win7 machines.
