Question about making a single click instead of double.

How do I change from opening icons with a single click instead of the default of double click? I searched the internet and it said something about files. I can't find them. I've done it before but don't remember how.

To effect this change, open Explorer > Tools > Folder Options. Here under the General tab, you will see Click items as follows.

 

Here select Single-click to open an item (point to select). You may also want to select the Underline icon tiles only when I point at them option.

 

Click Apply > OK > Exit.
