Disable ILO2 on DL360 G5 - possible?

I get continuously warnings in HP insight manager , that annoyes me . I will not use the ILO2 because server is nearby me .

 

I thing after disabling my ILO2 I will get rid of that stupid warnings - or any other suggestions?

Or stop using insight manager? Also, warnings are warnings... Shouldn't you be taking notice of them?

Actually i don't like getting any kind of erros or warnings from a device that i am not using.

What do you use insight manager for?

I have other servers on my network , i am member of a server support team , we have lots of locations of course we have to enable ILO2 for them but for local servers i don't need to and want to disable if tehre is a way or at least stop warnings i get from ingisht manager.

I believe that if you log into the iLO card there should be a place to disable and enable various bits and pieces. However, as I don't use the iLO or Insight manager on mine I can't confirm this. According to a VMTN forum post you can control:

 

SNMP Alert Destinations

Enable/Disable ILO2 SNMP Alerts

Enable/Disable Forward Insight Mgr Agent SNMP Alerts

Enable/Disable SNMP Pass-Thru

Enable/Disable P-Class Alert Forwarding

 

So you should be able to just disable the SNMP alerts and forwarding of insight mgr alerts.
