Dual Screen compatible laptop?

Good afternoon,

I have been making use of my two HP dual screen set up for quite some time, I find it makes my job much easer. My screens are held together with one of these stands:

Unfortunately, my HP computer has seen better days and is starting to have an impact on how much work I can get done! Rather than go for another desktop style computer, I am considering a powerful but light laptop.

I am finding that I am increasingly working from home or on the move. My idea would be to get a laptop which is powerful enough it can do all of the tasks I would need it to do from a network management point of view, but also be light enough that I could carry it home in my bag and use it to do work from home. Does any one know if it is possible to hook two monitors to a laptop? I would not want to use the laptop screen whilst at work, I would rather leave the lid closed and work on the dual screens. My dual screens have every kind of connector known to man from RCA style plugs, to Dsub, HDMI and DVI.

 

Any suggestions and or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

our computers have a cable that is vga and dvi split to connect to two screens from one source so im sure you could probably get a dual one of a connection.

Get a laptop with USB 3.0 and get yourself one of these - Targus USB 3.0 Dual Video Docking Station–ACP70EUZ|Targus Europe

 

Supports dual screen of both dual external or external and internal. The beauty of these is one USB connection to the laptop and you have all you devices connected (it auto installs its drivers too)

just get a usb to vga adaptor (a usb video card) they cost about £40 and will do work related tasks just great. (no good for dual screen video or gaming)
