Folders and their date modified

Hi,

 

Just wondering if we've configured something wrong or if its needed for use. Whenever a drive is accessed, all the folders contained have their date modified changed to when the drive was viewed.

 

e.g. looking at the science department drive (S:\Science) all the folders contained within it when just browsing that drive (not even selecting those folders) will have their date modified to that time.

This will be fixed with the v9 release, you can stop it now by turning the read/write checks off

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but is there any news on whether this will be fixed in the future?

How does that work in a complicated security structure? I presume it will error if a person cannot read and/or write to a particular folder?
