Backup File Exclusion List

I had no idea where to put this!

 

Can somebody provide me with a list of file extension exclusions they use with their backups?

 

I've done the normal ones *.wmv, *.MOV etc but I wondered what others exclude.

None here - everything is backed up, given the level of media rich lessons these days we just couldn't do without backing up everything.

Staff here are only allowed to save "Documents" in their my docs folder. Any media must be saved to a seperate media drive that is backed up elsewhere. I just wanted all the carp filtered out of this backup!

What about the students though?

They're on a different drive on a different server, but that whole drive is backed up with no exclusions. Its only a primary on this site so not too major.

.exe is a good one then

.exe and .swf were the first done!

 

Now to get .xls past SLT for those pesky excel embedded games!
