Backup & Disaster Recovery Plan & Academies

Hello,

 

I haven't see this on here so thought I would warn you. We have had a DFE and they have asked for a copy of backup & DR documentation.

 

Areas of particular interest:

 

• What is being backed
  
• Retention periods
  
• Test Restore
  
• Access to passwords in the event the IT staff die
  

 

 

We are all covered here, so just run a copy of the documentation off. But I know many schools are not so thought I would let you know.

By a DfE, do you mean an Education Funding Agency (EFA) audit/inspection?

I believe they have yet to come, they are coming do the fiance audit in a couple of weeks.
