iamjezz Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 We are currently using Lightspeed and although its good we are still adding a fair amount of new sites for games ect on a weekly basis, has anyone thought of sharing there's via a CSV, text file as i'm sure most of us block more or less the same sites.
clareq Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I'm not sure a public forum is the place to post a long list of sites possibly not blocked in other schools...
fairm010 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I'm sure a Mod will be happy to move to BTRD to keep Googles eyes from looking. I am about to change proxy and this list would help me no end!
Dos_Box Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 It was discussed many years ago, and as Clareq said, there were very valid security reasons why we did not do so. By all means flag up a single site which the kids have suddenly discovered (unless it is a matter for the police etc.) and share it, but to put up lists of inappropriate sites in a public place would be a great folly.
iamjezz Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) That's fair enough, as for information getting into the wrong hands i would have thought people advertising which schools there from and the security loop holes on there network on a open forum would be more or a danger. I will contact ligthtspeed see if there do any kind of sharing program. Edited February 4, 2014 by iamjezz
