My School Computer - Extended Version - Not working

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've got HAP up and running but I'm having trouble with the silverlight version of the My School Files section. Please see the below image to see what I happens when I go to the Extended Version:

HAP-Extended.png

I have checked/done the following:

.XAP is in the MIME Types

Using SSL

Silverlight is installed on the server

Silverlight addon is installed on the clients

Tried using multiple computers with Firefox, Chrome and IE

The basic version works fine, so I don't think it is anything to do with the mappings.

Does anyone have any ideas about what I'm missing/doing wrong?

Just a random thought, are your user home areas mapped via script or AD? As I know the extended version uses the AD mapping for the user area which in turn pulls the security rights through on the extended version. Change the User details in AD to something like this:

AD.jpg

My apologises if I turn out to be completely wrong I'm just an amateur

In AD the users do have their home drive mapped through the profile tab, but I don't think the silverlight version of HAP uses that. I think it just uses the same mapping settings as the basic version.

You need to add a drive mapping in the setup page, which uses the %homedir% variable, this will then pull the home directory from AD for that use and provide a drive mapping for it. The system does not do this automatically, as you all use different drive letters for the home drive

Hi,

I've already done that. I have the following mappings set up:

     %homedir%
     \\moe\Departments$
     \\moe\StaffResources$

All of the mappings appear in the Basic Version, just not the Extended Version.

Hi,

I can access api.asmx and it gives me the following list:

CheckFile

Delete

List

ListDrives

NewFolder

Save

Search

Unzip

UploadFile

ZIP

So I'm assuming that's correct.
