gomalley Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) Hi, I have a problem with the timetable plugin It has imported from SIMS (I can see it all in the AppData\Timetables) If as an admin I try and impersonate as user or UPN I get nothing, a student user with the UPN in their Employee ID field also gets the same Any suggestions greatly appreciated. nickbro Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Have you run the import via the admin options menu? It will create a new XML file that the one from SIMS?
gomalley Posted December 11, 2015 Author Posted December 11, 2015 Hi Nick, yes I have, I have a file that starts: and I've checked the UPN I am impersonating is present. Thanks Guy
gomalley Posted May 18, 2016 Author Posted May 18, 2016 I've just been looking at this topic http://www.edugeek.net/forums/home-access-plus/167663-importing-timetable-sims-not-working.html and the reply by @Stuajnht , upon inspection I can then see that https:///hap/api/timetable/LoadUser/ does indeed display the XML for that student, so HAP is obviously recognising the EmployeeID field and tying that to the username, however the timetable.aspx page still just shows the header menu and a blank page. I ahve tried making the change @Stuajnht suggested but it doesn't seem to have made a difference. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks Guy
Stuajnht Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Hi, From the looks of the screenshot that you originally posted, it looks like a resource isn't loading properly. As you're using Chrome, try opening the developer tools (Ctrl + Shift + I) and swap to the network tab, then refresh the page (alternate browser steps here: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/home-access-plus/86059-hap-json-debugging.html) See if there are any resources being shown in red, which are ones that have not loaded properly. If you click on one, it should let you see any HTML response from the HAP+ server, which may give you some more information. The console tab in the developer tools may also tell you if there's an error, along with what may be causing it.
gomalley Posted May 18, 2016 Author Posted May 18, 2016 Thanks, I'll give that a go in the morning and post back
gomalley Posted May 19, 2016 Author Posted May 19, 2016 Spot on Stuajnht, afterhap?/HAP/api/js/afterhap?/HAP/timetable.aspx=10.5.1014.1930 returns a 500 Internal Server Error and no Response, but I have no idea why! *Note to self - click Post Reply after typing it!
Stuajnht Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Hi, I'm not sure if the first "afterhap?" is just a copy+paste error, as the closest link that I have showing when the timetable loads is https:///hap/api/js/afterhap?/hap/timetable.aspx=10.4.927.1330 If so, this seems to try to load a file located in /Scripts/fullcalendar.min.js - I'd check to see if it's there. If not, it seems to be included in the HAP+ Web Core 10.5 update file (https://hap.codeplex.com/releases/view/135110)
gomalley Posted May 20, 2016 Author Posted May 20, 2016 (edited) Thanks Yes it was a copy paste error, it matches yours, and the fullcalendar.min.js is present, just to be sure I have overwritten it with a fresh copy from the install file for 10.5 update but still the same behaviour. Can you post the permissions on your scripts folder and that file specifically? Thanks Edited May 20, 2016 by gomalley
Stuajnht Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Hi, Attached is the permissions for the folder and file (inherited). All the other accounts listed have full control, and the HAP user is the IIS App Pool one. In the Chrome developer tools, if you click on the 500'ing response, then the response tab, is there an error message / description shown for it, or just completely blank? (excuse the crudeness of the drawing) If it's blank, then try having a look in the Event Viewer on the server, to see if there's anything logged there too. I can get the HAP+ server to create a 500 error if I remove or rename the file, but as you've said, you've copied it from the zip again, so that shouldn't be the reason here. Removing the HAP permission from the file also seems to cause the problem too, so hopefully this should fix it.
gomalley Posted May 20, 2016 Author Posted May 20, 2016 So my permissions are all the same, the response page still just shows "This request has no response data available" I've looked in the logs, and see: An error occurred in Home Access Plus+ Page: HAP.Web.API.MyPic Creating Directory Search and Searching for then current user Using filter: (&(objectClass=user) (sAMAccountName=it)) Found 1 results, processing 1st result Found 0 thumnbnailPhotos and Event code: 4005 Event message: Forms authentication failed for the request. Stuajnht Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Hi, I'll try and see what these errors may be, but it's mainly results from various edugeek posts. So my permissions are all the same, the response page still just shows "This request has no response data available" Unfortunately, that's the only response that I get too if I deliberately break things. Is it possible to set up HAP+ from scratch on a different computer / server (assuming it's the same one due to the folder names) just in case there's something installed on the server messing things up? 1

Many Thanks for your help on this.
