Popular Post Al_NetSupport Posted May 10, 2017 Popular Post Posted May 10, 2017 Just wanted to share that we are closing in on v4.5 of NetSupport DNA and we are hoping to release it in approx 6-8 weeks. http://www.netsupportsoftware.com/edugeek/dna_coming_soon.png Primary focus will be the arrival of new NetSupport DNA agents for Mac OS, ChromeOS and iOS. The new platforms support willl include device inventory, explorer thumbnails, internet metering, keyword monitoring and supporting safeguarding tools. For Teachers our classroom management features an updated Teachers app for Windows 10, an updated Teachers app for ChromeBooks and further enhancements for both chrome and iOS students. Managing windows students and ensuring they are only logged in on one PC is also included as are loads of other tweaks and improvements. For remote management customers, apps are already available for launching a remote control session FROM your iOS or Android smartphone / tablet, but we will also release for the first time a new App allowing android tablets to be remote controlled remotely too. Lots more news coming, but as always, a huge thanks to everyone who has joined the NetSupport family in the last year, you helped us grow our sales in the U.K. by 41% in the last 12 months. Al 5
DavidYoung Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 That's great news. We have just bought DNA with the EduGeek offer for 3 schools. We are thinking about the Chromebook route so looking forward to being able to manage them with DNA. Will this include remote control for ChromeBooks? Also will Chromebooks be able to communicate with the server when offsite, e.g. at home, etc?
Al_NetSupport Posted May 10, 2017 Author Posted May 10, 2017 Hi David, Its not been developed or really designed with the aim of providing offsite home monitoring, however be happy in the next few weeks to share some of the detailed specs with you and how it can be used across MATs or configured if you need broader reporting. If you want to PM me any questions I can ensure we share details as soon as confirmed. Al.
Michael Posted May 10, 2017 Posted May 10, 2017 Can this go on learnpads? Learn Pads are running on Android, so I'm guessing not (at the moment).
Al_NetSupport Posted May 10, 2017 Author Posted May 10, 2017 Learn Pads are running on Android, so I'm guessing not (at the moment). Thanks for responding on this one Michael. We do have classroom management for Android ( Teacher and Student apps). This is available for Asus, Acer, HP, Intel, Arcos and Samsung but unfortunately LearnPad wouldn't sign our android apk for their devices as they have their own limited solution and I guess, didn't want customers buying ours instead. Our next updated will include remote control of Android devices rather than just screen monitoring for android devices.
