cheekycharly Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Hey what's up guys! I was looking online last week and these days there seems to be pages of cheap Chinese projectors on Amazon. Out of curiosity I ordered one for me personally to play with and wondered if anyone else owns one. The model I bought was a TopTro X1 and for home use with movies and sport it works fine and runs quiet and has decent sound. Now I'm looking to band aid a few projectors in school and wondered if one of these would suit as a stop gap. Only looking at having them 1-2year and they get about 3-4 hours use a week. There's two classrooms currently that have ancient 10year plus projectors in them that are barely visible and bulbs and filters online for them come to nearly £200 a piece. Any thoughts on the use of one of these cheap junky projectors as a stop gap for a few years before we move to screens? Love to hear your thoughts!
6Foot2 Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Our Business Manager, in a push to "save money", bought a number of projectors to replace the oldest we had (couldn't guarantee they were Chinese, but they certainly were cheap!) They gave us nothing but problems from the first day.
DalekSec Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 More hassle than they're worth. With projectors i stick with Epson all the time.
cheekycharly Posted February 15, 2023 Author Posted February 15, 2023 Whats a basic Epson cost with good picture.
