I was surprised [but I guess I shouldn't have been] at just how many products Google has retired over the years:

TBH I am getting worried about Google and their services as they keep killing them off. Microsoft are the other alternative, though they seem to be ripping everything out in a rebranding spree at Redmond too.

I have found an acceptable alternative to Google Alerts:
