I last worked as a Pharmaceutical Analyst in March 1993. Since then new techniques have been developed (this is to be expected, of course) It makes me feel quite old.
I was using Ion-Pair HPLC in my lab. At the time, this was a new method of Pharmaceutical Analysis. Now there is SBWC which looks like it might replace HPLC and it might be more environmentally friendly into the bargain!

As a user of Google Alerts this news does not make me happy. A quick search just now didn't turn up any other news to confirm this. However Google has killed off so many other products in the past I guess this can't just be discounted out of hand.
Time to start looking for another service to replace Alerts just in case...
