That time of Year: Six Nations

Being a proud Welshman, it's that time of year again - the Rugby Six Nations. The yearly round of rugby internationals. The series of matches that doesn't really mean anything unless we beat the English.

Kelly Jones sang "As long as we beat the English, we don't care" and as much as quite a few people on here are English and I risk the flames - it is true.

The Welsh play England on Saturday and as usual it will be this game that the nation of Wales will base it's mood for the rest of the year!

So if you are a fan of the Sixth Nations and you are Welsh - let's sing aloud... "Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn annwyl i mi...."

If you are a fan and you are any nation other than England - do us a favour and beat them :-)

As for England fans? I'm only joking - good luck to you. Good luck to your team - just don't beat the Welsh.

On another note - is anyone doing the Fantasy Rugby? If you are interested, there is a good one here:

My fantasy team this year is:

15: Byrne (Wales)

14: Williams (Wales)

13: O'Driscoll (Ireland)

12: De Luca (Scotland)

11: Bowe (Ireland)

10: Trinh-Duc (France)

9: Cusiter (Scotland)

8: R.Jones (Wales)

7: Moody (England)

6: Bergamasco (Italy)

5. O'Connell (Ireland)

4. Borthwick (England)

3. Payne (England)

2. Castrogiovanni (Italy)

1. Szaezewski (France)

Night everyone,

Gareth

I am sorry Gareth but the England Team will run onto that Twickenam grass like lions onto the savannah and the Welsh gazelles will be felled. All within the rules of the game ofcourse!

Well well - what a boring game of rugby. Hats off to the England team for winning - they deserved it based on the first half performace. I think the second half belonged to Wales and that interception try was just unlucky - Wales seemed cursed by the interception.

Both Wales and England looked rusty with a lot of bouncing balls in midfield. Neither team looked to spark.

Well done England - they made the most of the bad game. I take my hat off and bow.
