Cryptonight News
Word is that Haven Protocol (XHV) is a decent CPU/GPU currency to mine at the moment. Cryptoknight.cc reports it's profit as around $2.60 KH/$/Day but you have to remember Haven uses cryptonight-heavy which means 1KH is 2-3 times as much power as normal cryptonight coins e.g Monero.
Also worth a look is a Brazillian cryptonight coin called Niobio, although I haven't managed to find a remote daemon link for it as the wallet itself had a problem downloading the blockchain. But you can sell it on Tradeogre.
If you'd have sold stellite coins last week you would have made double what you could now.
Graft has forked to monero7 and the difficulty is way down at the moment so that's worth mining and selling for a few days.
Since a bunch of cryptonight currencies forked to counteract asic mining, the asic owners are on the prowl for currencies that haven't forked yet. Currently they're on Electroneum whose hash rate has spiked to 750MH.
An attacker on the intensecoin network caused 8 days worth of blocks in a few hours. They're going to roll the block chain back when they're ready to hard fork.

is Turtlecoin dying as buy orders dry up? Apparently that's what's been happening on tradeogre and tradesatoshi. But if you believe cryptunit - Trtl is 4th worth $1.6 for 1000kh. Since Turtle runs cryptonight-light that's easily obtainable on as low as a GTX1060. Probably cryptunit.com doesn't bear in mind whether you can actually sell it or not. Turtle is so low in value it can't get cheaper. There's plenty of developers hard at work developing stuff but no sign of industrial interest. So I'm not sure where it's going to go. Don't go mad mining it.
Finally ultranote was last on cryptunit.com and has shot up to the middle of the table and it's price on tradeogre is up nearly 40%. 40% of nearly nothing is still nearly nothing. But it's worth 40 times turtle but you only get 150 XUN per block whereas turtle give ~29000 coins per block.
The difficulty has doubled in the last 2 days but the network hashrate is under 2MH - so i'm not sure what's happening with that.
