Selling computing power.

What I need is a company that comes to school and says.

We want to rent some of your computing power to do "work", you'll get a percentage of the value of the "work". Due to the market the value of the "work" changes but you'll always get more than you would spend in electricity. All you have to do is install our client on your computers. We'll send you a monthly report of how much "work" your computers performed, the cost of the electricity and how much we'll pay you for the work. It's the same as having solar panels - how much electricity you make and sell back to the electric co depends on sunny days. - In our case how much you make depends on how much your computers are turned on/logged in

Any companies like that around?

Not really, unless it's bitcoin-ish, and that's just stupid, more people using it just makes the total amount of power needed to do the same work higher, thus causing global warming just to make paranoid "the government is going to steal all my money" people happy.
