    MRBS Help

    Hi

    I have set up mrbs recently on a server 2003 test bed, my test link is here http://84.19.35.82:1234

    I was wondering whether any knows how to span the types array across the screen in to 10 rather rows of 5 so i will have my departments in to 2 rows spanned across the screen.

    Does any one know how to change the name as well, I want to get rid of the word meeting at the top left and just have room booking system.

    Can any one help

    Thanks in advance

    We run the same system, but have integrated it into our Moodle. I can't remember exactly which files, but you alter the php to customise the system to how you want it to look. Have a look at the php, it's fairly understandable and have a tweak until you get the result you want.

    I think it would probably be in the mrbs.css style sheet but can't seem to find where I would change the setting so to speak.

    Thanks for your reply f21970

    Is the attached what you're after in terms of the types?

    If so, all you need to do is edit the <tr> tags a little so the first row ends and the second row starts after 10 cells rather than 5.

    <table id="colour_key"><tbody><tr>
    <td class="A">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="Department">
    Department</div></td>
    <td class="B">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="Admin">

    <td class="C">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="Art">

    <td class="D">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="Careers">

    <td class="E">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="Citizenship&amp;RE">
    Citizenship&RE</div></td>
    <td class="F">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="Diploma">
    Diploma</div></td>
    <td class="G">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="Drama">

    <td class="H">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="English">

    <td class="I">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="Geography">

    <td class="J">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="History">

    </tr><tr><td class="K">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="ICT&amp;BS">
    ICT&BS</div></td>
    <td class="L">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="ICT-Support">
    ICT-Support</div></td>
    <td class="M">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="Maths">
    Maths</div></td>
    <td class="N">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="Media">
    Media</div></td>
    <td class="O">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="MFL">
    MFL</div></td>
    <td class="P">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="Music">
    Music</div></td>
    <td class="Q">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="PE&amp;Dance">
    PE&Dance</div></td>
    <td class="R">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="SEN">
    SEN</div></td>
    <td class="S">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="SLT">
    SLT</div></td>
    <td class="T">
    <div class="celldiv1" title="Technology">
    Technology</div></td>
    </tr></tbody></table>

    As for the text in the top left corner, it is set up in the "lang" file as a variable:

    $vocab["mrbs"] = " Dog Booking System";

    You can change it to whatever you want. (I don't know why the word "dog" popped into my head - random). See the other attachement for a picture.

    Let me know if you need any clarification.

    Yeah what you have shown me looks like what I would have to do are the <tr> tags in the mrbs.css style sheet I don't recall seeing anything like that.

    I have already changed type in the lang file to department and I can't believe I didn't see where I would of changed mrbs to $vocab["mrbs"] = " Dog Booking System"; bloody hell.

    Thanks for your help notsofast you are a star..

    The <tr> tags are created by a function called show_colour_key() in the functions.inc.php file. I only have a few entry types set up so I can't test this quickly, but I imagine you simply change the 5 to a 10.

    # Display the entry-type color key. This has up to 2 rows, up to 5 columns.
    function show_colour_key()
    {
    global $typel;
    echo "<table border=0><tr>\n";
    $nct = 0;
    for ($ct = "A"; $ct <= "Z"; $ct++)
    {
    if (!empty($typel[$ct]))
    {
    if (++$nct > 5)
    {
    $nct = 0;
    echo "</tr><tr>";
    }
    tdcell($ct);
    echo "$typel[$ct]</td>\n";
    }
    }
    echo "</tr></table>\n";
    }

    Hope it works,

    Simon

    functions.inc.php is where you set up the table to show the booking types

    config.inc.php is where you set up the booking types: read the install documentation for more info.
