Sanm2009 Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 We have EES for Office and few days ago I requested Student advantage and staff advantage licenses for Office 365. I had no Tenancy for Office 365 at this point. Yesterday I followed the link provided by the Microsoft to activate my newly acquired licenses and created a new 365 admin account for our organisation. I can login to this account and can create new staff / student users. But on the Office 365 Dashboard there is no Exchange or Sharepoint. Have I missed a step somewhere or does it take sometime for the exchange and Sharepoint to be setup/activated for our organisation?
apearce Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Hi, You need to purchase the E1 free licenses which will then add them to your tenant and the services such as Exchange and SharePoint. I know that it is free but you have to purchase them at zero cost buy clicking on Purchase down the left hand side of the admin portal. Or If you go to Office.com/teacher it will add the new Office 365 Education for Student/Teacher licenses as you make your request and allow you to have 1.5 million licenses. Instructions from my blog below. Get Microsoft Office for Free: Students and Teachers | BFC Networks 1
Sanm2009 Posted March 19, 2015 Author Posted March 19, 2015 (edited) Thanks a lot. After your post I also found this link might be helpful to anyone else looking for the same thing. http://www.rm.com/Support/TechnicalArticle.asp?cref=TEC3877844&nav=0&referrer=rss Log on to the Office 365 Admin centre (https://portal.office.com/admin/default.aspx) with your Office 365 Global Administrator account username/password. On the left-hand side of the screen, select 'purchase services'. A list of available Education Plans should be displayed. Locate the required licence (for the E1 licences you will see they have a £0.00 value). Click the 'Add more' link. A 'How many licenses do you want to add' screen will be displayed. In the 'Add more' box, enter the number of additional licences you'd like to purchase (remember these are free). Click the 'add licenses' button. A 'Review the details of your order' screen will be displayed. Click 'place order'. An 'Order confirmation' screen will be displayed. Click the Finish button. Edited March 19, 2015 by Sanm2009
