Hey, I've built my own website using wordpress having started with limited knowledge. Admittedly had a lot of help from a friend since then (Appliance Analysts). Anyway, just my 2c that Wordpress was fantastic to use as a starter. The different themes you can install make it super easy to 'get' how different websites are built. Switching between the different designs really helped me realize how many templates etc are used on the web. This may sound very simple to you, but as a newbie it made it easy for me. An alternative I was recommended is Blogger - which is made by Google. It's much more straightforward, almost like a mobile app. But it's super easy for them to create little blogs and get started that way. Hope that helps! Craig
