  1. Been looking into this for security purposes. Would like to know what other schools are using it for too? at 4.80 per licence, are schools just upgrading their staff to education plus licences? thanks
  2. Hi all Is it possible for Jamf school to map a network drive automatically when a student logs on? I have been following this guide but can't seem to get it to work... https://learn.jamf.com/en-US/bundle/jamf-school-documentation/page/Network_Drive.html Has anybody achieved this? Basically we have a group of student who take the music course. I want them in an AD group and ideally have a network share mapped on the Mac when they log in, if they fall under that AD group. Thanks Richard
  3. Hi Has anybody got any further with this? We are running easybadge and would like to masse print timetables on the back of the ID cards. the only option i can see on Easybadge is imprt/export from csv...
  4. Hi mrbios, We are looking at a similar solution for our current CCTV system. we are currently using Milestone with 45cameras on site running through this. we are looking to change to a HIK NVR roughly the same spec you have mentioned. Please could i ask how this is going? in terms of putting extra load on the network with more cameras etc and also is the NVR easy to use? software etc. thanks Richard
  5. does anybody know when this scheme will end?
  6. Some classes will probably have different names though which could result in things getting messy. I'm looking into the archiving method for this issue. When archiving a team the content of the team is made read only, but still fully accessible for both teachers and students. Also, when teachers setup their class notebook in a new team they will have the option to import content from an existing class notebook, including notebooks in archived teams. Last but not least any assignments from archived teams should be available to reuse as well, in assignments just click Createfollowed by From existing, then choose the archived team, pick an assignment and assign to the new class.
  7. As we are approaching the end of the academic year, I am getting questions from teachers asking me what will happen to all the content that they have uploaded to their class teams. They want this content to be available for next year's classes. I have explained to to everybody that class teams should be treated as temporary for the year and don't rely on using the team as a permanent resource space for the students to refer to. I know archiving is available and I have explained that you should be able to dip into these archived teams and get what you need and copy/paste to the new teams for the year. However, this could be too time consuming on teachers. I'm just wondering if anybody else is getting asked this right now and if anybody has any other approaches/solutions to this? Thanks!
  8. Hello,We currently have Onedrive for business setup as part of our O365 package. Staff and students are using this fine at the moment logging in via the 365 platform. However, we would like to use the Onedrive app on Windows 10 to allow users to save their files to this location and this then directly syncs the files to their cloud account and not saved locally to the PC. We want this to basically replace the use of Homedrives on the network that we are currently using. We dont want any files to sync locally to the PC as this will cause local space to be used up when different users login to the same PC's.We have so far tested it by creating a file, saving it to the Onedrive folder on Windows 10. this then syncs up and appears in the Onedrive window on 365 but once we remove the profile from the PC, the file is removed from all platforms.so basically what we want to for a file to be created, saved to the onedrive folder then syncs to the cloud but it not kept in this folder.thanks in advance.
