Since upgrading to 1909 we have been unable to export SMART Notebook files to powerpoint. I receive a message saying 'Visual Basic for Applications' needs to be installed. After searching high & low I can't find a version of VBA that allows me to do this. Does anybody know a workaround for this?

Thanks- that was my first thought but it's like all the local accounts have been wiped. I get to the login screen but no login credentials work.

Is there a way to set the correct power state without accessing the BIOS first? I have tried pressing F2 but no matter what I do it just boots straight to the Windows login screen. Thanks

I set a supervisor password on my Toshiba laptop. Now I can't access the BIOS at all. Have tried pressing F2 & INSERT but nothing. Whatever I do the laptop just boots to windows login screen. Any ideas?

Thanks, our switches are really only touched the Network Manager. Based on the research I've done I think that I'd be better served by doing the CCNA first.

It used to be, but with the new versions you don't need the CCNA first. I want to just go for the CCNP but worried that without the CCNA it will be too difficult.

As we all know, CISCO have updated their CCNA & CCNP qualifications. I have my CompTIA A+, Net+ & Sec+ and a couple of years of being a technician behind me. I really want to get stuck into one of the new CCNP paths. If I want to go for one of the new CCNP certs should I do my CCNA first? When I look at the exam contents for the new CCNA it looks pretty similar to the Network + and I don't want to waste time & money getting essentially the same cert twice. But on the other hand I don't want to invest time in the CCNP only to find that I'm way out of my depth. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Admin has asked me to compile a full report of all the monitors & screens we have on site, including individual specs and serial numbers. We have around 400 machines. Physically going to each monitor and checking the spec & serial number will take ages. Does anybody know of a way to do this remotely? Is there maybe a power shell command that shows the details of the attached monitor? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for replying: No lights on the NIC I can't see any entries for the MAC Address on our switches I couldn't find any entries for the hostname in our DNS or DHCP server.

Did an audit recently of all on-site It equipment. I found a few machines that had the same hostname. Of those machines that had duplicate names, one machine kept the hostname & the other was booted off the network. However, the machines that were booted off the network are now not picking up any network connections at all. If I plug in a network cable, I get nothing. Not even a 'cannot connect to network' icon. Troubleshooting steps I have tried: Disabling & enabling Ethernet adapter in Device Manager Replacing network cable with known good cable Trying different locations across the site to eliminate possibility of bad socket Tried opening up the BIOS & re-installing network image, but even in BIOS i get 'Cannot Detect Boot Media' Any help would be much appreciated.
