Regional IT Support Lead (Cambridgeshire) ASTREA ACADEMY TRUST Full Time (37.5 hours per week) / Permanent / All year round (52 weeks a year) Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum Required for as soon as possible Astrea Academy Trust is seeking to recruit an experienced and versatile IT professional to join our IT Support team to play a crucial role in leading and supporting IT across our Trust and Cambridgeshire based Academies. You will provide IT support and management as the Trust grows. Vital to this position is your ability to utilise analytical skills and critical thinking to resolve technical problems in a ‘best value’ manner to maximise the use of time & resources in line with the Trust’s policies. You will be assisting IT teams in the region implementing new projects and ensuring these are delivered on time & within budget. Alongside project management you will deliver second & third line support to Academies, where requested, to enable Academy IT to run smoothly and staff & pupils to feel well supported. The ideal candidate will be flexible, have good attention to detail and consistently provide excellent customer service. About the Role: The Regional IT Lead will provide vital support in the implementation of Astrea processes to the Trust and the Academies. This will include supporting decision makers with both internal and external stakeholders and working effectively to ensure maximised use of IT throughout the Academies. You will be involved in the development and implementation of new technologies & systems and be key to supporting the day to day management of IT within the Trust. This role will utilise project management and change implementation skills while providing strategic support to existing IT teams in local (educational) settings. About You: You must possess high analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and above all the correct attitude and ethos to work in a driven role. You will be a good communicator and be familiar with varying IT systems but predominantly Microsoft. You are accustomed to having a broad spectrum of tasks and can multi-task whilst producing high quality outputs within agreed time frames. Your prioritisation skills will be flawless and you can quickly establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels. You are highly likely to have experience of a busy IT Department, in an Education setting and are looking for a step up and to take on more responsibilities. You will provide excellent IT support and management as the Trust grows. Vital to this position is your ability to utilise analytical skills and critical thinking to resolve technical problems in a ‘best value’ manner to maximise the use of time & resources in line with the Trust’s policies.
