Assuming that you are gentlemen, allow me to explain a little.
The person who posted that garbage on reddit, doesn't tell you the truth about what actually happened, but reluctantly I will, as I do not like discussing private matters of business openly on the internet, but as it seems that my personal integrity is in question, in this case, I feel justified in defending myself.
He actually attempted to defraud us by abusing Paypals fraudulent claims form, which is there for, and is supposed to be for somebody who has had their account hijacked and used to make illegal purchases. Essentially, he had failed to contact us to cancel his membership, also, he did not cancel the billing agreement, which is a legal, binding billing agreement with us that he entered into willingly, and legitimately the previous year.
I can only presume that he must have forgot about it or forgot to cancel before rebilling occurred, and when he got billed the second year, instead of contacting us and kindly requesting a refund or a courtesy email notification of cancellation the way most people would have, rather, he decided to file a bogus fraud claim in an effort to get a refund, which, is in and of itself an act of fraud.
He was wrong. And when things didn't go his way, he got angry and ranted about it and slandered SBL on reddit.
The claim went to Paypal security team for arbitration for about two days, and after reviewing the facts Paypal decided the case in our favor.
Now, back to my personal history with the incident you mentioned.
The incident happened in 2010, and while I regret my actions, In my defense, I must point out, considering that its nearly 2019 and that happened in 2010. I would very much like to move on with my life, and these days, I use my talents for the greater good, ive been working very hard to build Squidblackist.org into something worthwhile.
If your intention is a serious discussion about blackists, I would be very happy to engage with you, I would like to discuss the difference between shalla + urlblacklist + squidblackist.org, the difference is staggering. Since 2012, I have focused my efforts on the creation of this service, and have worked very hard to continually develop and improve the quality of these lists, frankly, because I was sick of shalla and urlblacklist having the most aweful blacklists. I knew I could do it better.
Both of those 90s outfits have the most aweful blacklists, and btw, urlblacklist is done, and shalla, hasnt updated since I think June of 2016 or something like that, they also aren't doing any more updates, and the bottom line is that our stuff is a million times better.
