Hi
Hi (first post)
just a question about 365 exchange
previously hosting exchange in house it was standard procedure in our organisation to advise users not to send attachments to large groups/multiple users as a rule.
just to try and keep the databases and disk sizes in check. there was always the odd case of a senior management member sending out 5mb spreadsheets to 1000+ users
so it was an issue we'd drive home with all staff regularly.
then in later days when SAN solutions were put in place for storage we had third party de-duplication tools so it was less of a concern,
I just wondered if anyone knows how attachments are sent in exchange 365, does it handle attachment de-duplication itself? its this something we should still be vigilant about?
just had a member of staff send out 10 office docs to every staff member in the organisation along with a link to the same docs online!!
its obviously not going to cause us any issues, but its still bad practice, just wondered if any body knew how 365 mail handles this.
thanks
Matt
