Unfortunately, in our well thought out process, the wall plate and projector have already been purchased and installed. We can have the vendor come in and program it for us, but it's quite pricey. So I have been tasked with getting it figured out. Unfortunately there is not a lot of documentation out there that I am able to find.

So I have been tasked with getting a NEC projector set up with a Crestron wall interface. I have read pretty much all that I have found and not found an easy step by step guide. All that I really want to do is use SIMPL to program the buttons (just to power on and off to start) to get things up and running, then when time allows, spend more time on the ins and outs of it. There has to be something small that I am missing, I can get the program uploaded, see the interaction from the buttons, but it's like the button press is not talking to the projector. Just wondering if someone might be kind enough to lend a little assistance. Much appreciated.

I fully understand the risks of it being opened. From all indications, it sounded like it was a stuck head and hoped that it was the issue. Unfortunately it was not the case. I was aware of the risks, and fully was expecting that it was probably going to be sent away to the specialists.

Not trolling at all, just trying to determine if there is any hope with the hard drive accessing the data on it. Not the first time I have opened a disk up and still be able to recover the data, just never seen one acting this way. Most times the head was just stuck.. Sorry if I upset your apple cart with my post!

Wondering if there is any hope for this hard drive? Of course, the client has nothing backed up from it
